Gaga is one of several high-profile musicians who will make an appearance during Biden’s inauguration, with country star Garth Brooks and singer Jennifer Lopez also set to perform during the ceremony on Wednesday.

She’ll be performing the US national anthem, which she previously gave a stunning rendition of before the Super Bowl in 2016.

During Biden’s presidential campaign, Gaga was one of the former VP’s most high-profile supporters, having previously worked with him on a campaign raising awareness of sexual assault on college campuses.

Donald Trump will not be in attendance on Wednesday, making him the first outgoing president to intentionally skip his successor’s inauguration in more than 150 years.

Vice president Mike Pence is attending in his place, with former presidents Bill Clinton, George W Bush and Barack Obama also present in Washington.

After the inauguration, there’ll also be a TV special in celebration of Biden’s arrival in the White House, featuring remote performances from stars like Katy Perry, John Legend, Justin Timberlake and Demi Lovato.
