Missing Lancashire Boy, 9, Found Seriously Injured After Falling Through Factory Roof

A youngster who sparked concern after going missing following a playdate with friends in a Lancashire park has been found seriously injured on a factory floor.

Leon Langford, nine, went missing from home on Sunday afternoon after last being seen with friends at Ivy Street Play Park in Blackburn around 4pm.

His disappearance prompted a frantic search by family and friends.

On Monday, Lancashire Police confirmed they have found a youngster believed to be Leon in a factory in the Infirmary area of Blackburn at just after 8am.

Factory staff found the boy on the floor of the factory, appearing to have fallen through the roof. His condition is described as serious.

Earlier, Leon’s dad Dave Langford made a plea on Facebook in a desperate attempt to find him and his post was shared more than 6,000 times.

Leon was reported missing on Sunday by his parents after failing to return home. Leon is believed to have suffered a serious head injury and has been transferred to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in Liverpool.

His dad, Dave Langford, posted a message on Facebook thanking people for their help in the search mission and admitting his son was “in a bad way.”
