Little Mix have confirmed plans for their own talent search, which will see the groups mentoring aspiring pop groups.
Airing on BBC One in the new year, Little Mix: The Search will see members of the band creating new all-female, all-male and mixed groups, made up of aspiring singers.
Little Mix said (in unison, we assume, although that wasn’t made clear in the press release): “We want to create lots of incredible groups who really gel. As we have been there and done it ourselves, we know what it takes to make a group successful, and will be there to mentor them every step of the way.
“We want solo artists to audition as well as groups and every type of genre is welcome too. It’s going to be really exciting and people can apply right now!”
Over the course of the series, the girls will then mentor the groups they’ve created, with help from the “inner circle” that has helped Little Mix on their rise to stardom since their days on The X Factor, which includes songwriters, music producers, vocal coaches and stylists.
Charlotte Moore, the director of content at the BBC, said: “One of Britain’s most popular all-female bands Little Mix will bring their magic to BBC One on Saturday nights in 2020 in a brand new show set to inspire the next generation of young artists.”

Little Mix first shot to fame in 2011 when they became the first band to win The X Factor.
Since then, they’ve released five albums, topped the UK singles chart on four occasions and toured America with both Ariana Grande and Demi Lovato.
Last year, just weeks before the release of their latest album LM5, it was revealed that Little Mix had parted ways from Simon Cowell’s Syco record label, and signed a new deal with RCA.
Simon is still an executive producer and judge on The X Factor, which launched its new celebrity series last week.
