Can you imagine having a birthday message from actual Beyoncé? It would certainly make celebrating in lockdown a bit more bearable, huh?
Well, that’s exactly what happened to Lizzo – and she had an oh-so-relatable reaction to Queen Bey even knowing of her existence.
After Bey shared a picture of a baby Lizzo on her website along with a “Happy Birthday” message, the Juice singer had something of a meltdown on Instagram.
An emotional Lizzo sobbed: “Beyoncé wished me happy birthday. Beyoncé wished me happy birthday on her website. She knows it’s my birthday. Thank you Beyoncé. Oh, my god. Thank you, Beyoncé.
“She knows. She knows I exist. I don’t know what to do with myself. Wow, gonna sit with that one for a while.”
Lizzo also shared a screenshot of Beyoncé’s message, along with a candid pic of herself after receiving it.
She wrote: “ALL. @beyonce BEY YON SAY wished me a happy birthday B***H ! I don’t know how to ACT 😫 She is my inspiration to be a singer after seeing destiny’s child perform in the 5th grade…
“I LOVE YOU BEY! Thank You! Let me go drink some damn water.”
