"It was a lapse in judgment, but it’s not something that I’ll ever do again."

Love Island winner Jack Fincham has apologised to his fans after admitting to taking cocaine.

Jack told The Sun: “I’d never normally be in these situations but, yes, since winning the show I have been offered cocaine a lot.

“But I went out all night, I was drinking and I just got carried away and made a stupid, stupid mistake which I wish I’d never done, you know. I regret it.”

He continued: “In the past I would never have found myself in a club where everyone wants to be your friend – but obviously they’re not really your friends at all.

“[The drug use is] not a reflection of my character, but I’ve had a blowout. It was a lapse in judgment, but it’s not something that I’ll ever do again.”

Jack won the fourth series of Love Island in the summer of 2018, alongside Dani Dyer, with whom he is still in a relationship with.

Towards the end of last year, the pair announced they’d decided to end their romance after four months, but her father Danny Dyer later said that the announcement was a hasty one, as they’d actually just had a row.

Since then, Dani has hit out at the suggestion their reunion was for “commercial reasons”, insisting their relationship is a meaningful one.
