With the Love Island now down to just four boys following the early exit of Ollie Williams, the villa is in need of some fresh meet.

Step forward Connagh and Finley.

Bosses have confirmed two new lads will be descending on the South African pad tonight, and we can reveal they already have their eyes on some of the Islanders.

Connagh Howard is a 27-year-old model from Cardiff, who describes himself as “goofy, laid-back and compassionate” and says his best feature is his jaw line.

Connagh also says that Shaughna Phillips, Sophie Piper and Siannise Fudge are all just his type on paper.

He says: “I like brunettes, a girl with nice eyes, who likes to take care of themselves. I like a girl who can do some sort of sport as I’m into sport. I’m looking for someone I can be myself with.”

Joining him will be 20-year-old Finley Tapp, a recruitment consultant from Milton Keynes who is also a semi-professional footballer for Oxford City.

He rates himself as a 9/10 in the looks department, and reckons he will be a “good contender” as he knows he will make friends with the lads already in the villa.

Like Connagh, Finley also fancies Siannise and Sophie, but also has his eye on Paige Turley, who was left single after Ollie’s sudden exit.

Of his ideal woman, he says: “I want a girl who is fun and outgoing and someone who can make me laugh. I don’t have a type looks-wise but obviously you want that initial attraction.”

The pair’s entrance was teased at the end of Wednesday night’s episode, with viewers being introduced to them properly on Thursday.

Wednesday’s show also saw Ollie make his exit, explaining to his fellow Islanders that he was quitting the villa as he was still in love with his ex-girlfriend.

His swift departure came at a time when he was at the centre of much controversy, after old photos of him posing with dead animals were unearthed.

This led to hundreds complaining to Ofcom about his participation on the show, while an online petition calling for him to be removed had 38,000 signatories.

However, while many fans suspected the backlash may be the real reason for his departure, a Love Island rep has insisted to Digital Spy that this is not the case.

They said: “Ollie made the decision to leave off his own back and explained his reasons for doing so in his quote.

“He was not made aware whilst he was in the villa of any press stories running around him but as with all Islanders, since leaving the villa he has now been briefed as to what has been written and said about him as part of our duty of care. We will be supporting Ollie as he leaves the villa.”

Love Island continues on Thursday at 9pm on ITV2.
