Man Arrested Over Manslaughter Of Holby City Actor’S Daughter

A man originally arrested on suspicion of murdering the daughter of Holby City actor John Michie has been re-arrested on suspicion of her manslaughter and drugs offences, police said.

Louella Eve Fletcher-Michie, 25, was found dead in a wooded area on the edge of the Bestival site at Lulworth Castle in Dorset just before 1am on September 11.

Dorset Police said a post-mortem examination carried out shortly after her death showed no clear signs of an assault.

The force said further examinations, including toxicology tests, have now been carried out.

A 28-year-old man from London, who was known to Ms Fletcher-Michie, was previously arrested on suspicion of murder and released under investigation.

Senior investigating officer Neil Devoto, of Dorset Police’s Major Crime Investigation Team, said: “Detectives have re-arrested a man at an address in Enfield in London on suspicion of manslaughter and drug supply offences.

“He is currently assisting officers with their enquiries. Louella’s family has been updated with this development.”

Ms Fletcher-Michie’s parents, ex-Coronation Street actor Mr Michie and his wife Carol – a former Hot Gossip singer – previously said their hearts had been broken by the “horrific tragedy”.

The couple, who have two other children, Daisy and Sam, said: “Louella inspired all who knew her with her joy of life.”
