Matt Damon has come under fire for his comments about the ongoing discussions on sexual abuse allegations in Hollywood for the second time in a week.
Last week, his claims that there was a âspectrumâ when it came to sexual misconduct were torn apart on Twitter.
The Oscar-winner is now facing controversy after appearing to suggest that the men in Hollywood who are not facing sexual abuse allegations are not getting getting enough acknowledgement.
He told Business Insider: âWeâre in this watershed moment, and itâs great, but I think one thing thatâs not being talked about is there are a whole shitload of guys â the preponderance of men Iâve worked with â who donât do this kind of thing and whose lives arenât going to be affected.â
When asked by the publication whether heâd consider working with someone whoâd been named in the continuing allegations, Matt claimed this was something heâd decide on a âcase-by-case basisâ depending on âwhatâs the story hereâ, before reiterating that he has not been involved in any sexual misconduct.
âIf I have to sign a sexual-harassment thing, I donât care, Iâll sign it,â he claimed, âI would have signed it before. I donât do that, and most of the people I know donât do that.â
Mattâs latest comments have gone down like a lead balloon on Twitter:
Matt actor previously backtracked on claims he had known nothing about the accusations against Harvey Weinstein prior to actresses coming forward with their stories earlier this year.
He also spoke out to address rumours heâd been responsible for âshutting downâ a story that would have blown the lid off the movie mogulâs misconduct.
Weinstein has faced a string of sexual assault and sexual harassment accusations, but has âunequivocally deniedâ any allegations of ânon-consensual sexâ.
