Meghan Markle made a surprise appearance at the 2019 Wimbledon Championships wearing a tiny gold necklace in tribute to her newborn son.

The Duchess of Sussex was wearing an initial “A” necklace reportedly as a nod to her baby, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, who was born on 6 May.

The delicate necklace, complete with diamond studs, is a design by Los Angeles-based jeweller Jennifer Meyer.

If you want to copy her initial necklace then you might need to save up as it costs $750 (£600), but there are plenty of cheaper options available online too. Including a silver necklace (£12, Not On The High Street), bamboo gold (£18, Orelia) or a slightly pricer gold option (£125, Wolf & Badger).

Fancy something slightly different? Why not buy an initial stud earring (£50, Net-A-Porter).

Markle took a seat on Court 1 with university friends Genevieve Hillis and Lindsay Roth to cheer on friend Serena Williams who was playing Kaja Juvan. She was wearing skinny jeans, a black top and white pinstripe L’Agence blazer (as well as the same hat she wore to the tennis match last year).

The Duchess has previously been seen wearing jewellery brand Missoma - she wore one of their signet rings in 2018, which quickly sold out. It is currently having a 50% off sale and we picked our favourite pieces here.
