Michael Buble Opens Up About Son Noah’s Cancer Fight In Emotional ‘Stand Up To Cancer’ Carpool Karaoke

'My whole life ended'.

Michael Buble joined James Corden for a very special ‘Carpool Karaoke’ on this year’s ‘Stand Up To Cancer’, and opened up about his son’s fight with the disease.

The Canadian crooner said “his whole world ended” when his five-year-old son Noah was diagnosed with liver cancer at the age of 3.

Talking to host James Corden, an emotional Michael explained: “It is so hard to have to acknowledge it. Obviously we got his diagnosis and that was it, my whole life ended.

“At first it was just, it is too hard to talk about. They said it wasn’t great so we took it day by day.”

The singer added: “I wasn’t OK. When this all started I became the strength to somehow pull us and lift us. When they got it out and chemo was done, I just fell. My wife picks me up.”

The ‘Feeling Good’ singer went on to describe Noah, who is now free from the disease, as his “superhero”.

He said: “He is five years old now and I say to him Spiderman is amazing but they are fake, they are not real. You are my hero, you are my superhero.”

During last night’s ‘Stand Up To Cancer’ broadcast, Channel 4 mistakenly sent a tweet claiming Noah had died from his illness.

The post – which was immediately deleted – read: ’Watching Michael Buble talking about the death of his son from cancer is one of the most heartbreaking things we’ve ever watched. ‘Sending him and his family so much love for telling their story! Please PLEASE keep donating and help us #StandUpToCancer.’

During the Carpool Karaoke, Michael and James also paid tribute to George Michael by dressing up as the late singer and singing his classic hit ‘Faith’

The pair also discussed Michael’s fluctuating weight.

“There is a fat Buble,” MIchael said. “There is a chinny Buble. And there is a ‘hey, I’ve got record coming out, maybe should I stop eating those Slurpees’.”

He added: “I’ve got a beautiful woman who loves me.”
