The Business of Fashion has released its annual BoF500 index, which profiles the people currently shaping the global fashion industry.

The 2016 list features 113 newcomers including Taylor Hill, Bella Hadid, Jaden and Willow Smith - and perhaps the most surprising new arrival of all is: BeyoncΓ©.

Yes, that’s right, in its four year history Queen Bey has only appeared on the list this one time.

This has indeed been a stellar year for β€˜yoncΓ© fashion, what with her CFDA Fashion Icon Award and Ivy Park collections.

And BoF applaud her β€œhigh fashion takes on the music video genre, featuring looks by Gucci, Cavalli and many more,” in β€˜Lemonade’.

But we are shocked it has taken this long for her influence on street style to be noted.

The BoF500 is compiled based on nominations from current and former BoF500 members from around the world.

Stalwarts on the list include: Alexa Chung, Gigi Hadid (who perhaps is responsible for Malik and Bella Hadid’s nominations), Kendall Jenner, Alexandra Shulman, Rihanna, Charlotte Tilbury and Erdem Morarliglu.

Another newcomer on the list is Hannah Jones, Nike’s vice president of sustainable business and innovation, - a welcome sign that sustainable fashion is going from strength-to-strength.
