Mother Goes Missing With Daughters After 'Children In Care' Facebook Post

Police are searching for a woman who is believed to have gone on the run with her two children after posting on Facebook that her daughters had been taken into care.

Angela Kelly, 46, and her daughters, 12-year-old Shanti Harbourne, and Maya-Rose Kelly-Johnson, five, were last seen in Camberley, Surrey, at 11pm on May 1.

Ms Kelly, from London, posted on Facebook on April 30: "Can anyone help? The police took my children into care last night ... tried to run but they caught us ... they had no paperwork but took the children anyway ... only an email of a court order sent to my email address ... I need to negotiate with them when their offices open again on Tuesday ... anyone got any experience? Thanks."

Then on May 1 she added: "Hi everyone ... Shanti and Rosie still being held against their will and mine by the state ... but I feel stronger today ... thank you for your messages of support, loves … xxx"

A Scotland Yard spokesman said: "Police are appealing for the whereabouts of two children who have gone missing.

"Shanti Harbourne, 12, and her five-year-old sister Maya-Rose Kelly-Johnson have not been seen since 1 May.

"They were last seen in Camberley, Surrey, at 23.00 hours on 1 May. It is believed they are in the company of their biological mother Angela Kelly, 46.

"The sisters are both white. Shanti Harbourne has shoulder-length brown hair and is of slim build. She was wearing a black Batman top, ripped black bottoms and brown boots.

"Maya-Rose Kelly-Johnson is of average height for her age with long brown hair. She was wearing long pink pyjamas with heart on it and black boots.

"They are believed to be in the Camden area. There are also links to Heathrow and Roehampton."
