Police have been granted further time to quiz a 48-year-old man on suspicion of terrorism offences.
The man, who has not been identified, was held on Thursday in Wrexham, North Wales on suspicion of being concerned in the commission, preparation and instigation of acts of terrorism under Section 41 of the Terrorism Act 2000.
He was arrested as part of a joint operation between the Wales extremism counter terrorism unit, North Wales Police and the West Midlands counter terrorism unit.
Officers had an initial 48 hours to quiz the man, who was being held at a police station in the West Midlands, but have now been granted a further warrant to hold him until November 17.
A police spokesman said: "A warrant of further detention has been granted for a 48-year-old man arrested in Wrexham under Section 41 of the Terrorism Act 2000.
"The warrant of further detention enables police officers to keep the suspect in custody until November 17 at which time they will either charge, release or apply for another warrant of further detention."
