RuPaul is bringing ‘Drag Race’ and Christmas together for the ultimate festival of camp, with a special festive edition.

Some of the most iconic queens in ‘Drag Race’ herstory will be returning to the workroom for the brilliantly titled ‘Holi-Slay Special’ next month.

The one-off edition will see the queens take on a series of festive challenges in a bid to be crowned the Christmas Queen.

The likes of Latrice Royale, Jasmine Masters and Eureka O’Hara will all be taking part, but most importantly, the show will reunite Trixie Mattel and Shangela for the first time since that ‘All Stars’ finale.

Here’s the full line-up...

  • Trixie Mattel (Season 7, ‘All Stars’ 3)
  • Shangela (Season 2 and 3, ‘All Stars’ 3)
  • Eureka O’Hara (Season 9 and 10)
  • Latrice Royale (Season 4, ‘All Stars’ 1)
  • Jasmine Masters (Season 7)
  • Kim Chi (Season 8)
  • Mayhem Miller (Season 10)
  • Kylie Sonique Love (Season 2)

As ever, Ru will be joined by fellow judges Michelle Visage, Carson Kressley and Ross Mathews, while Todrick Hall will also be on hand to put the queens through their paces in a dance number.

The queens will also be lip-syncing to some original RuPaul Christmas songs, taken from her new album ‘Christmas Party’.

Announcing the news, Ru said: “Nothing says Christmas like ‘Chestnuts roasting on an open fire, and drag queens slipping on their pantyhose’.

“Celebrating the holidays with my most festive girls inspired me to record my new album, Christmas Party. And this VH1 holiday extravaganza is my way of saying thank you to my Drag Race family by spreading a little bit of love, laughter and light across the country and around the world.”

The ‘Holi-Slay Special’ airs on VH1 in the US on Friday 7 December, with a UK air date still top be confirmed.

Meanwhile, ‘Drag Race’ fans are also gearing up for the fourth ‘All Stars’ series, which will see the return of Valentina, it has been confirmed. Season 11 will also hit UK Netflix next year.
