RuPaul's Drag Race UK: Andrew Garfield And Michaela Coel Announced As Guest Judges

Two more stars have now been confirmed for the BBC Three series.

Two more guest judges have been confirmed for the upcoming British series of RuPaul’s Drag Race.

Among them is Drag Race superfan Andrew Garfield, who admitted in 2017 he’d become hooked on the hit reality show while preparing for his Tony Award-winning performance in the play Angels In America.

Sharing his excitement, Andrew said: “The creativity is always totally outside the box and it’s one of the many reasons I watch and love this show - when someone does something I wouldn’t have thought of myself.”

Appearing in a separate episode will be the Bafta-winning star of Chewing Gum and Black Mirror Michaela Coel, who added: “I love that you have to dare, you have to dare and you have to drop all of your societal norms and restraints that you’ve been taught and you have to dare to embody something higher.”

Drag Race UK will debut on BBC Three this autumn, with regular judges RuPaul and Michelle Visage both making the jump across the pond for the new series.

Joining them on the panel each week will be Alan Carr and Graham Norton in rotating appearances, while a number of guest judges have already been confirmed.

As well as Andrew and Michaela, Game Of Thrones actress Maisie Williams will be giving her critiques to the British queens, as will Jade Thirlwall of Little Mix and Spice Girls singer Geri Horner.

More judges are expected to be announced in due course.

It was recently confirmed that a Canadian version of Drag Race is now in the works, following Brooke Lynn Hytes’ success in this year’s American series.

Drag Race Thailand – the show’s first international edition – has also been well-received, with a third series currently in production.
