Cyclist Sir Bradley Wiggins and actor Michael Sheen are among high profile figures who will take control of BBC Radio 4's flagship news programme over the festive period.
The Today programme will also hand over the reins to two peers and bring in a guest business editor for the first time for its programmes in the week after Christmas.
Lord Browne, the former chief executive of BP, and lawyer Miriam Gonzalez Durantez, who is married to former deputy prime minister Nick Clegg, will become guest editors, along with architect David Adjaye and human rights campaigner Baroness Campbell.
