'Strictly Come Dancing' 2016: Ed Balls Joins Line-Up For New Series?

Ed Balls.

It’s the news that feels like all our Christmases Ed Balls Days have come at once - former MP Ed Balls has been tipped to appear on the new series of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.

Fans of ‘Strictly’ may recall that Ed was rumoured for the show last year, shortly after losing his spot as an MP in the General Election, but later admitted he was in no rush to take part.

However, we can only assume he’s been using his wide-open schedule to take dancing lessons, because his name has once again cropped up among this year’s rumoured celebs.

All we can say is that we’re hoping for some more of this:

‘Strictly’ has previously seen former MPs Ann Widdecombe and Edwina Currie taking part in past series (though it should be pointed out that neither of them enjoyed particularly successful stints on the show).

The new series of ‘Strictly’ is thought to be kicking off in early September, as previous years have, with a host of celebrities from all walks of the entertainment industry among the rumoured contestants.
