In the run-up to the ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ Halloween special, the professional dancers have had a few tricks up their sleeves for their celebrity partners.
Despite the fact ‘Strictly’ is renowned for its gruelling training regime, the remaining stars are clearly able to have some fun away from the dance floor, as this new behind-the-scenes footage reveals.
The video shows the pros texting one another with a few tricks they can play on the celebrity contestants, with Judge Rinder and Danny Mac both practically leaping out of their skin after getting a scare from Oksana Platero and Oti Mabuse.
Laura Whitmore also gets a fright, when confronted with a fake spider from Giovanni Pernice, but it’s Ed Balls who gets the biggest shock, when Katya Jones dons a skull mask to surprise him as he gets into the back of a car, leaving him running away.
If only he could bring that energy to the dance floor, eh?
In keeping with the spirit of the season, ‘Strictly’ will be getting a spooky makeover on Saturday night (29 September), with the songs that the remaining couples will be performing in this year’s Halloween special having now been revealed.
But ‘Strictly’ isn’t the only show getting in the Halloween mood, though, with this weekend’s ‘X Factor’ also taking on a ‘Fright Night’ theme, though that hasn’t been without its controversy.
In fact, the show is currently facing fresh “fix” accusations as the themes are supposedly being picked at random, but when ‘Fright Night’ just happened to fall the weekend before Halloween, viewers on social media began to grow suspicious.
