Comedian Seann Walsh suffered an unfortunate moment during his training for his performance on this week’s ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ live show, crashing to the floor when a prop table collapsed under him.

Seann and his partner Katya Jones are set to perform a Viennese Waltz to ‘I Put A Spell On You’ in Saturday night’s Halloween-themed show, but has revealed things haven’t been going so well in rehearsals.

During training, Seann was seen twirling onto a table, only for the whole thing to fall apart underneath him, sending him flying backwards.

Fortunately, he saw the funny side of the accident, sharing footage of it on his Instagram story on Thursday afternoon.

As he noted, this came after ‘Strictly’ judge Darcey Bussell urged the pair to be less “clumsy” in their routine, with Seann joking: “Typical.”

Last week, Seann and Katya wound up in the bottom two for the first time, but were ultimately saved by head judge Shirley Ballas, who sent radio presenter Vick Hope home instead.

Since then, she has suggested that producers were behind Shirley’s decision to save Seann and Katya, though the BBC has categorically denied this, with Vick later backtracking over her comments.

Seann and Katya, of course, have been at the centre of their own controversy in recent weeks, after footage emerged of the pair kissing after a night out in London.

Since then, Seann’s now-ex Rebecca Humphries has revealed their relationship is over, while Katya has insisted the incident was no reflection of her marriage to fellow ‘Strictly’ dancer Neil Jones.

Find out if they can dodge the bottom two in Saturday’s ‘Strictly’ live show, airing at 6.50pm on BBC One.
