Seann Walsh Dismisses 'I'm A Celebrity' Rumours After 'Strictly Come Dancing' Exit

The new series of the jungle reality show is not far away at all.

Seann Walsh has hit back after reports claimed he was set to join the new series of ‘I’m A Celebrity’, following his ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ exit.

Over the weekend, Seann and ‘Strictly’ partner Katya Jones became the fifth couple eliminated from the competition, after winding up in the dance-off for the second week in a row.

Just one day after his exit, several media outlets ran stories claiming that we could be seeing him on another reality show, linking him with a possible spot on ‘I’m A Celebrity’, following a surge in bets placed with bookies.

However, his representative was quick to shoot this down, branding the rumours “pure speculation” when approached by HuffPost UK.

Best known for his work as a comedian, Seann quickly became one of this year’s most talked-about ‘Strictly’ contestants, when he Katya - both of whom were in relationships at the time - were caught on camera kissing during a night out.

While Seann and his now-ex Rebecca Humphries have now gone their separate ways, Katya was quick to insist that the incident was not a reflection on her relationship with her husband, fellow ‘Strictly’ dancer Neil Jones.

Since their elimination, Katya has joked to Seann that he should “stick to what he’s good at”, urging him not to pursue dancing any further, while also noting he’d have plenty of material for his next stand-up tour.

‘Strictly’ continues on Saturday at 7.05pm on BBC One, while the new series of ‘I’m A Celebrity’, presented for the first time by Declan Donnelly and Holly Willoughby, launches on ITV next month.
