"Daddy’s gonna clean it up" 💩

Last night’s Super Bowl might have been branded “boring”, but one advert that aired during the break was anything but. Singers John Legend and Adam Levine starred in a new Pampers ad which saw them changing their children’s nappies while singing an incredibly soulful number about stinky booties.

We’d say it trumped the half-time entertainment from Levine’s band Maroon 5. And we’re not alone. Chrissy Teigen, who is married to Legend and mother of their two children, shared the ad in full on her social media accounts.

“Becoming a parent changes you,” she tweeted. “And you thought I was extra.”

The ad kicks off with Legend changing his son Miles’ nappy and judging by the look on Daddy’s face, he’s done a number two.

“Somebody’s got a stinky boo...,” he says, as he undoes the nappy. He then calls for back up, at which point the camera pans to daughter Luna who is sporting a princess dress and throwing wet wipes on the floor.

Legend then turns around to find a sea of dads standing in his living room, carrying their babies in papooses (Piers Morgan, look away now).

As soon as he begins to sing his stinky booty song, they come into their own as a full-on backing choir. Honestly, it’s a real work of art.

After some seriously impressive pitch work, the camera pans to Adam Levine changing his daughter’s nappy. “And Daddy’s gonna clean it up,” he sings, before booping her on the nose. At the end, Teigen walks in. “Must we do this every time?” she asks.

We predict parents will be singing this melody for years to come.
