Taylor Swift's 'Delicate' Music Video Accused Of Copying Kenzo World Ad

🤔

Taylor Swift has come under fire over her latest music video, with some commenting that it bears a striking resemblance to a Spike Jonze-directed perfume advert.

Earlier this week, Taylor unveiled the music video for ‘Delicate’, the latest cut to be taken from her ‘Reputation’ album.

The four-minute clip sees a frustrated Taylor growing bored of being recognised, and suddenly being afforded the opportunity to do whatever she wants when she realises she’s become invisible.

Newly-invisible, Taylor is seen throwing some shapes in a fancy hotel, running around in the pouring rain and pulling faces in a bathroom mirror.

However, while Taylor’s fans were excited to see a new side to her in the ‘Delicate’ video, other viewers have suggested she and director Joseph Kahn may have copied a Spike Jonze campaign for Kenzo World.

In this advert, actress Margaret Qualley is seen attending a formal event, before wandering off on her own, pulling some strange faces in a luxury hotel corridor and showing off some enthusiastic choreography of her own.

Twitter users were quick to point out the similarities between the two clips, and they were not impressed:

HuffPost UK has reached out to representatives for Taylor Swift and Joseph Kahn, and is awaiting a response.

‘Reputation’ hit the number one spot on both sides of the Atlantic upon its release at the end of last year, with lead single ‘Look What You Made Me Do’ also securing Taylor her first UK number one.

The singer is currently gearing up for a world tour to support the album, which kicks off in Arizona in May, before arriving in the UK a month later.
