Ah the city of light. Catch a direct flight from airports around the UK and soak up the culture for a brief weekend visit. The perfect place for a winter trip or to spend a summer’s eve sat chatting outside a cafe – there’s never a bad time to visit.

Apart from the many famous historical and cultural sites, the city boast plenty of gorgeous green spaces and promenades – as well as cafes, bars and restaurants.

A hub of culture, there’s more to Amsterdam than smoking weed. Instead, get your art fix at Rijksmuseum in the city centre, make sure you visit Anne Frank’s house, and the canalside Bloemenmarkt is the next best thing if you can’t make it the tulip fields outside the city.
