By the time this goes live, the Winter Olympics in Sochi will have come and gone. All we will be left with is cute, awww inducing images of Olympians cuddling puppies and a countdown til the Summer games in Rio. What ever am I going to do with my nights now that I won't be swooning over the talented Olympic athletes looking ever so dashing (AKA sexy) in their uniforms. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: There is just something so attractive about an athlete in an Olympic uniform. Since I'm not quite ready to let go of the Winter Olympics fun, here are the top five sexiest Sochi Olympic uniforms.
1. Figure Skating
Men and women's singles, pairs, ice dancing...I don't discriminate, I love the costumes! The women tend to walk the fine line between revealing and classy, while the men's are skin tight, leave nothing to the imagination and often add an artistic flair that shows off their personalities.
2. Slopestyle Snowboarding
Watching Slopestyle, I was transported back in time to 1999, when skateboarders and snowboarders were the hottest things around. Their baggy pants, long hair and I don't care what you think attitude left me drooling as I watched them execute daredevil "tricks" on their respective boards. Turns out, nothing has changed! I still love a daredevil in a baggy uniform, with a big goofy smile plastered on his face after landing his tricks.
3. Ice Hockey
Olympics or not, I'm a huge hockey fan. When it comes to the uniforms though, all that padding leaves much to be desired. It is, however, completely necessary when you get thrown up against the glass, which leads me to be reminded just how rough and tough hockey players have to be! I love a man (or woman!) who isn't afraid to fight for the win, and padding or not, it's a sexy sport to watch!
4. Speed Skating
One thing that never fails to amaze me about the Olympics is the pure power of the athletes bodies. They are truly machines, capable of doing things I can only dream about. One sport that magnifies this is speed skating and the uniforms are proof that the body is truly a work of art. Let's be real-you can basically see every ripple and movement of each muscle as the athlete thunders around the track....and I could watch it for days.
5. Bobsled
There simply isn't room in the sled for any excess fabric, resulting in some super skin-tight uniforms! If you're in a 2 or 4 man bobsled, you are going to be getting up close and personal with your teammates, but it's a small price to pay for a medal. I think the aerodynamic suits are especially sultry on the ladies, which is giving me ideas about potential Halloween costumes this year. Sexy bobsled driver at your service!?
