7 Things That Are More Important Than Doing Housework (PHOTOS, GIFS)

We'd rather spend quality time with loved ones, not our mops and brooms.

We know how important it is to keep your home neat and tidy. But let's face it, in the world we women live in, we can't exactly allocate hours to cleaning the house as let's say, our mothers and grandmothers did "back in the day."

And apparently, it's pretty obvious. According to a new study by the Arnold School of Public Health at the University of South Carolina in Columbia, the time dedicated to household management by employed women in 2010 decreased by 6.7 hours a week from the 1960s. It also showed that the ladies are spending more time in front of the television, which could indicate why we're all supposedly so unhealthy.

But you know what? After a long day at work, watching the boob tube isn't the only thing we think is more important than doing housework.

What else would we rather be doing? We asked the teams at HuffPost Home and HuffPost Style that very question. Here's what we came up with:

Watching a documentary on Netflix and actually learning something.

Catching up with friends on the phone.

Online bargain hunting.

Going for a run.

Eating Nutella.

Sleeping.

Cooking an awesome meal.
