This Couple Sleep On Alternate Sides Of The Bed – And We Have So Many Questions

One word: faff.

A man has revealed he and his partner frequently switch sides of the bed – and we have never been more disturbed by a couple’s bedroom habits.

Steve O’Rourke, from Dublin, tweeted to say he and his partner Amy change things up depending on their mood, and he only realised it wasn’t the norm when he made the shocking revelation to work colleagues.

“Some nights I like to sleep by the window, some nights the door. It’s not really that unusual, is it?” he asked.

Yes, it is.

We just have so many questions about how this works: how do you decide which side to sleep on each night? What happens to your bedside table trinkets? Which pillow do you shove your pyjamas under? Do you get disorientated when you go for a wee in the night?

And isn’t it just a whole lot of faff?

The list could go on – and it seems we aren’t the only ones appalled by this hot desking-bedtime hybrid.

O’Rouke tried to justify their bonkers behaviour by arguing that you wouldn’t have a set place on the sofa or table. But what he failed to recognise is that a lot of couples do, in fact, live their best lives Ant and Dec-style.

He tried to unboggle our boggled minds by explaining how the system works – they move the pillow and books with them when they switch sides (!) and the bedtime seating plan works on a first-come-first-served basis.

Honestly, it sounds like hell on Earth.

We’re still not entirely convinced he’s not just trolling us all.
