Having welcomed the likes of pooing ponies, Kim Jong-Un lookalikes and Britain’s sexiest cow to the studio, you probably thought you’d seen it all on This Morning.
Think again.
The ITV daytime show reached peak This Morning on Tuesday as a woman married her dog live on air.
Viewers met pet owner Elizabeth who wanted to marry her pet pooch Logan after failing to meet Mr Right (we hear you, hun).
But far from stopping short of an interview with the pair, This Morning bosses decided to throw them a surprise ceremony at the end of the show.
In undoubtedly the most bizarre scenes the show has ever aired (and that is really saying something), Eamonn Holmes walked Elizabeth down the aisle, while Love Island’s Kem Cetinay acted as the pooch’s best man.
And as if that wasn’t enough, the ceremony was officiated by none other than Alison Hammond. Well, who else could it have been, really?
Alison couldn’t keep a straight face as she said: “If any persons here present has a bone of contention as to why they might not be joined together, I will now paws to let them speak (or bark), or forever hold their peace.”
Elizabeth then recited her vows to her Golden Retriver, although he had a slight problem with being able to reciprocate.
As the ceremony drew to a close, a suited and booted Logan was allowed to kiss the bride, which Elizabeth took full advantage of, as evidenced below...
Let’s hope Logan doesn’t end up in the dog house on their wedding night.
