Two people have died in a hit-and-run crash.
Sussex Police said the four vehicle collision took place at the junction of South Cliff and King Edward's Parade in Eastbourne at 9.30pm on Friday night.
A driver fled but was later found and arrested, the force said.
A police spokesman said: "Three people were involved in the collision and sadly two people from the same vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene.
"The driver of the other vehicle decamped from the scene and was later arrested. He is currently assisting police with their inquiries."

Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision to call 101 quoting Operation Harfield.
