The UK has more "international" universities than anywhere else in the world, according to new rankings.
It shows that in terms of foreign staff and students, the UK is seeing off competition from nations including Australia, Switzerland and the United Arab Emirates.
The Times Higher Education's list of the most international universities in the world shows that the UK has almost a third of entries in the top 200 - with 64 institutions listed - while 39 make the top 100.
The highest is Imperial College London in 10th place, followed by Oxford and University College London in joint 18th, King's College London in 20th place and Essex University at number 21.
Also making the top 25 are The London School of Economics and Political Science (22nd), Queen Mary, University of London (23rd) and Queen's University Belfast (24th).
The rankings are based on the proportion of international staff and students at a university as well as the proportion of research papers published with at least one co-author from another country.
In total, there are 28 countries represented in the top 200.
After the UK, Australia has the second highest number of entries with 24 institutions listed.
Taking the top spot is Qatar University, followed by the University of Luxembourg, with the University of Hong Kong in third place, Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne in Switzerland takes fourth and University of Geneva, Switzerland, rounds out the top five.
Phil Baty, Times Higher Education World University Rankings editor said: "An institution's global outlook is one of the key markers of a prestigious university.
"The top institutions hire faculty from all over the world, attract students from a global market of top talent and collaborate with leading departments wherever they happen to be based.
"All institutions in this list deserve to celebrate – being named one of the most international universities in the world is a sign of great potential, competitiveness and dynamism."
