Well done Sam, consistently the best contestant on this years show. A very worthy winner, also, best of luck to a great runner up Nicholas McDonald.

Through the barmy summer heat through to the windy winter evenings, we have had big bands and big shocks, variety and vocal excellence. Ladies and gentlemen it's the X Factor Final weekend.

So who will it be Luke, Sam or Nicholas....

Our final weekend opened with the penultimate group performance, followed by a good luck message from Beyone, (I'm not making that up), the first act to sing for the glory title was Nicholas McDonald.

Just to really crank the nerves up a notch, we were treated to a VT of his 'homecoming' and his friends, family and fans were out in force. We love you man. So proud.

His first performance was consistent, nothing outstanding but a good start. I expect he was a tad nervous performing on such a big stage!

My fav Sam Bailey was up next and after her emotional 'homecoming' she gave us another wow vocal with her version of 'Edge Of Glory'. Boys that's how to do it!

Surprise finalist Luke Friend showed us why he deserves to be here tonight and he seemed right at home in Wembley Arena. Great job mate. Big things to come?

Now every year the finalists are joined by a celebrity singer and this year was no different.

Ellie Goulding got the ball rolling with Luke Friend and it was enjoyable to watch, two very talented young singers, side by side.

Westlife's Shane Filan joined Nicholas McDonald and the pair of them sang.......a Westlife song. A bit of Louis' influence? Saying that, I can't really fault it, vocally both very strong.

Last up and one of the best duets I have ever seen on the X Factor were Nicole Scherzinger and Sam Bailey, blooming brilliant. It made the hairs stand up in the back of my neck. Sharmazing. I am however, a bit disappointed Louis and Sharon didn't want to sing tonight. That would have been pure TV gold.

The finalists went for a lie down, to await the result of the third place and we were joined by some of X Factor's most 'memorable' acts, well some of them.

My mate Kitty Brucknell got it all off to a phenomenal start. She has an amazing voice, I love her. It was also great to see 2 Shoes, Johnny Robinson, Rylan, Diva Fever and am sorry to say, Jedward & Wagner again. Saying that the show has missed an act with their unique talents.

Now it's the result: The act finishing in third place is....Luke Friend.

So, onto the Final part two. This was the final group performance. Thank goodness. Sorry that was a shocking group performance. Now we know why they didn't get through! Except Sam of course. He was robbed!

Nicholas performed first tonight and gave a beautiful performance of his mothers favourite song. Competition is strong tonight. Has he got the edge?

Well Sam Bailey threw in her winning card. The Power of Love, sang even better than the original. Note perfect. What can I say. It must be in the bag now.

A big round of applause to the judges too. What a series and they have given us some great TV. Sad to see Gary go, but am sure there will be some one just as amazing for next year. Mr Cowell, your seat is still warm......

Each act had one last chance to win us over. The winners single was performed, first by Nicholas, then by Sam. One song can sound so different when sung by two different people. Loved them both in their own styles, but again it was Sam for me. Sam all the way......

The Winner of The X Factor 2013 is....Sam Bailey

Well done Sam, consistently the best contestant on this years show. A very worthy winner, also, best of luck to a great runner up Nicholas McDonald.

See you all next year, Merry Christmas x
