'X Factor': Gifty Louise Returns With 'No More Drama' Audition, After Losing Out At Last Year's Bootcamp

She's back to settle the score.

Often with ‘The X Factor’, it’s second time lucky when contestants who’ve failed to make it to live shows in the past return for an audition.

Indeed, several finalists (Joe McElderry, Liam Payne and Little Mix’s Jade Thirlwall to name just three) have been favourites among viewers, despite past struggles in the competition.

This year, several past contestants have returned to the competition for another try at stardom, and among them is Gifty Louise, who crops up again in Saturday’s (10 September) show.

She admits she’s back with a point to prove, after falling at the last hurdle in last year’s series when she lost her voice prior to her performance at the last stage of Bootcamp.

Explaining her motivation for coming back, Gifty explains: “Everyone wants me to be a doctor or a lawyer or something like that, but that’s not me, I’m a creative person.

“To do it all over again is really nerve-wracking. It’s a lot of pressure.”

Gifty tells Simon Cowell: “I’m more confident, I just want to kind of prove you guys wrong.”

At that point, the music mogul reminds her: “Well… you did lose your voice.”, much to the amusement of Sharon Osbourne.

In her efforts to prove the panel wrong, Gifty picks the rather ambitious choice of the Mary J Blige classic ‘No More Drama’ to show off her vocal abilities and performance style.

Tune into Saturday’s ‘X Factor’ auditions, airing at 8pm on ITV to see how Gifty gets on in the competition.
