It happened so fast: the clocks went back, Halloween fast forwarded onto November and suddenly the party season arrived. For many of us December is a festive blur of work parties, dinners and Christmas shopping; I can't really help with the latter but I can come up with some sleek styling ideas so you look and feel fantastic, even after that sixth Prosecco...
After a month of fashion weeks where if I wasn't at a show I was pouring over style.com to see which model was walking what trend, I am now fantasising about the SS '15 trends: slick and retro seventies styling, denim, floral prints in tailored shapes and utilitarian dressing.
It may only be the month of May, but autumn's cuts, styles and trends will be in the shops before you can say, 'is that it?' ... Since filing through the showrooms and trawling the rails of the autumn/winter collections, it is clear that one trend is here to stay; Americana.
For me the main offender is flashing too much flesh. I understand when it's a hot day the last thing you want to do is wear body-covering clothes, but there are some style offences that are just socially unacceptable.
