Looking at photos used to be restricted to close friends boring you to tears with glossy 5x4s of their holiday to Alicante ("Don't get fingermarks on them!") or your mum embarrassing you with childhood snaps, but now we are all willing autobiographers, snapping every moment and flooding the internet with selfies.
Nothing can be more dangerous to an already anxious generation than to sink into a hole of depression. I am tired of reading disheartening articles about how younger generations are already failed and without a future. How we are doomed to despair, how older generations have given up on us as a hopeless case. All this negativity, it's no wonder we are starting to believe it.
The desire to inject excitement into life sciences is to be commended. The quest to understand and cure cancer, diabetes, Parkinson's disease and other horrible diseases is often a lonely one and lacks wide-spread recognition and financial compensation. This is what the trio are hoping to combat.
What we know for sure, what we know for certain, is that destiny is in our hands as never before. We know that if knowledge is power then economic knowledge must be economic power and we are certain that those who raise their knowledge will be at a distinct advantage. Those that don't grab it will only have themselves to blame.
