John discovered that his first album had an incipient following in 2002 when a journalist, Mark Luffman, emailed him from Australia after finding the LP in a car-boot sale. "He raved about it. No one had ever said such nice things," says John. "It was considered a complete failure by my record company and management - they saw it as an experience best forgotten".
"The music business has become dull," says Jah Wobble. "It's like one big heritage site. I avoid it like the plague because it's full of businessmen bores, a lot of whom are too old to try anything else. It's a dead zone."
"The magic of recording is that you don't quite know what you're going for until you're in the studio and working with the musicians and producers," says Pete Molinari. "That's a good thing. You have to let things unfold."
