China South Rail

China South Rail (CSR), the company that allegedly paid R5bn in bribes to the Guptas, has asked the South African government for exemptions on its local content commitments worth R5bn.
The Chinese ambassador reportedly met the Guptas, as a dodgy Transnet tender with a Chinese company was negotiated.
Evidence of graft piling against multinational companies named in the Gupta emails might have more to answer to than just local laws.
Two more companies, based in Switzerland and China, have been added to the list of companies implicated in dodgy Transnet dealings linked to Gupta companies.
