craft beer

In the West we have an inbuilt weakness. We don't want to impose. We don't want to put someone out. We just don't want to make a nuisance of ourselves.
I have a shady history with wine. I like drinking it, I like the complexity wine can deliver, but when we hang out together for longer than a couple of glasses, I go one of two ways.
Late in the afternoon, while still at work, I can smell hops coming off a fresh pint of beer. The scent is so strong it feels almost real. I don't work in a pub. Or a brewery, although the thought is increasingly tempting.
If you like a pint in your local boozer, then look away now - this might hurt. Pubs the length of Britain are closing down
I didn't know what craft beer was at the start of 2011. A year later, it's pretty much all I drink. I'd cross London to drink beers by the best of Britain's craft brewers.
