The Masked Singer judge quit drugs for good after attending Narcotics Anonymous meetings.
"She'd become the most hated girl in Britain," Davina recalls in a new Channel 4 documentary, 10 years after Jade's death from cervical cancer.
The presenter says there were "no boundaries" during her visits to her mum.
"The one thing I can't build into them is experience."
Including the surprise reason the show was saved from the TV scrapheap.
"I know it’s going to be hard tonight but I’m sending you all so much love."
"The most important thing is to remember that you’re the least alone."
But the former host doesn't want to believe this is the end (again).
The hour-long segment will include performances with an all-female orchestra.
