The environment, terrorism, refugees, technological development - these are the things that will define this generation, but they remain things that do not pay attention to border crossings and barbed wire, issues that can only be combatted internationally. Aligning ourselves with Europe, backing Remain could just be the most important decision that you will make this century.
The vast majority of students are expected to vote in favour of Britain remaining in the EU, and I am becoming increasingly uncomfortable with this fact. Why? Because I have no idea how I am going to vote, and I find it surprising that the demographic I belong to are already so sure of themselves.
Whichever way Cameron campaigns on the European issue - the elephant in the room at every Tory party conference just as the unions are at Labour's - one half of his party will be unhappy. Whichever way he now goes, it doesn't look like a political happy ending.
