The main culprit is not the curriculum content or assessment design or even the management style. It's actually the lack of space and time within the structure that causes so much of the stress and disharmony. Education toxicity swells as basic human needs are left unattended in the system.

Despite having so much more opportunity, more stuff and more potential to flourish, modern society is reportedly less happy than 50 years ago. This downward spiral is partly due to a modern-day default focus on lack, coupled with increasingly higher expectations.
Happiness is increasingly being talked about and taken seriously at both national and international levels. A recent, and very encouraging, example was the United Nations International Day of Happiness, which was celebrated for the first time a couple of weeks ago.
