game of thrones hbo

There's a reason I stopped watching Game of Thrones. It wasn't because of the violence or the sex which some might perceive as gratuitous. It wasn't because there aren't any morals or lessons to be learned from the story being portrayed. But I did have an issue with the treatment of women in the series.
Game of Thrones, in case you didn't know it, is one of the biggest shows in the world and has helped turn actors like Emilia Clarke and Natalie Dormer into global stars. However, it may face stiff competition from Dawn. I spoke to model-turned-actress Fola Evans-Akingbola about both shows.
I'm a feminist, of course I'm a feminist, I have a vagina. What person with a vagina wouldn't want equality between men AND women? Which is essentially what feminism means. It's not, burning your bra and not shaving your legs - although I have to say I'm not doing bad living up to that stereotype, but when it comes to Game of Thrones - can everyone just please shut up.
The prevalence of spoilers immediately following cult television shows has spiked, with some shows even encouraging immediate interaction by showing official social media hashtags during premiere broadcasts. It's a natural response, especially when something particularly dramatic happens people turn to others to talk about it.
Game of Thrones features lots of sex, violence and intrigue but it does all make for some essential elements and that works perfectly in any given drinking game, and GoT characters tend to drink, lots. So it's time to consider what quote and situations work best...
'Thrones' fans, assemble! With the long-awaited release date of season five approaching, we've been treated to another stunning
Did you use to dream of drinking a poison that could turn you into an animal? Or maybe you still wish you could become a lion, a sharp-toothed wolf or a kingly hawk? Well, the bad news is that there is no magical formula that can turn humans into animals, but do you even have to?
Two male characters in a love scene together - pretty ballsy (forgive me for the pun, and the bad romance novel writing) for a mainstream network TV show, right? Sure, you could say that, until the moment where Jason woke and it turned out to be 'just a dream' - phew! Cue 'comedy' worried look from Jason Stackhouse, slumped over in Church, oops. Roll opening credits!
Game of Thrones has become an international phenomenon with a dedicated following around the world. Over the past four seasons, the show has become well-known for its dramatic backdrops and breath-taking locations filmed all over Europe.
Game of Thrones isn't meant to satisfy this utopian vision of a world in which men and women are equal, all races hold hands and dance gayly in meadows while a half goat man plays a flute. It's not meant to be nice, it's not meant to be an egalitarian world, but the world created still has, and presents brilliantly, very strong female characters.
