Operation Brock

Moveable concrete barrier to replace the chaotic Operation Brock no-deal Brexit system to manage traffic jams on the M20.
"A complete waste of time and money" - but it will take 48 hours to stand down Operation Brock.
While the government scrambles to try get a withdrawal deal agreed in the next three weeks, government agencies are getting ready to deploy certain operations in anticipation of a no-deal Brexit. Operation Brock is already partly in place, with lorries on the M20 heading for Dover already taking over one lane of the highway, in an effort to reduce backed-up lorries from blocking the roads. Other efforts fall under Operation Yellowhammer, the government's overarching no-deal withdrawal plan. It includes using existing legislation to manage expected and unexpected fall out in 12 key areas, including security, health, food and transport disruptions.
