Technology is advancing at an exponential rate. We have already seen technologies which were once at the forefront of innovation quickly become out of touch if they did not continually evolve to remain ahead of the tech curve. Who would have thought ten years ago the rise of the smartphone would make the iPod obsolete?
My daughter and millions of other millennials will make up 75% of the workforce in less than ten years. A 75% that is wired differently - not only have they never known a world without the internet, they also don't remember a world that isn't instant and collaborative.
There's a misconception that office working is no longer as productive or cost effective as mobile or remote working. As communications become increasingly intelligent, office environments are on the cusp of providing a richer, more fruitful technology experience than we can get remotely. In fact, I think we are set to become even more productive and collaborative in the office.
