In general, I think what I'd say to anyone who feels pushed to their fitness limits, or is experiencing a fitness barrier, is to stay strong! Pain is short-lived, but the joy of beating your fears or overcoming obstacles will remain with you for long time. That's what I've learnt to do and I'm a much better athlete for it.

Here I go... I'm Conrad Williams, British 400m and 4x400m track & field athlete. As a late bloomer I started athletics at the age of 20. Before that I was just playing a bit of football and basketball, until one day walking through the park I saw the running track in my local area of Lewisham. It wasn't long until I joined my local club, Kent AC.
It is different putting on the Welsh vest compared to the British vest, and being rivals with athletes who are normal on the same team as you. But that is all part of what makes the Commonwealth Games extra special and to me it's as special as the Olympics. I was fourth in 2006, third in 2010 so this time I want to go even better...

Breast cancer isn't just the disease of a 'friend of a friend' or a 'cousins friend' or even of a distant relative once removed. We're surrounded by people and their families who are affected by it. Real people, with real bodies and feelings and emotions that will change forever following their treatment.
