It's not all been plain sailing of course, there have been serious lows as well as the highs. My first marriage ended and I lost my brother to cancer. However highlights include playing the Royal Albert Hall and winning awards for That Peter Kay Thing and Phoenix Nights.
There have been times when I wanted to give up, I couldn't do battle with my body anymore and they never let me give up. They kept me strong. They fought for me. Now the tables had turned it was my Mum who needed me to fight for her.

And, as you'd expect, I've met thousands of the nicest, most intelligent and creative people around. I've also come across some exceptionally strange characters who've often been more entertaining offstage than what's happening at the front of the room.
