Blogs and bookshops are full of advice telling us how to manage stress, with techniques to remember, practice and apply. We each know what we "should" be doing to manage our stress levels...
Today I am feeling extra brave. More surprised than impressed with my own bravery, I decide to leave the queue and explore the rest of the food stalls. 'Fish and Chips' was the first one on the corner and on my way home.
Persistent negative thoughts easily put us under mental stress in the absence of any stressors. Once started, thoughts continue and proliferate. One thing leads to another - a train of thoughts that runs beyond a sense of time and space. Our mind is busy.

Who doesn't know the experience: Work days are filled with tasks, phone calls, appointments and meetings. One thing follows another, and once a problem has barely been solved, the next one is just around the corner. Everybody seems to want something from us.
When I talk about effortlessness, I am really using it to describe FLOW. Have you been in situations where your life has felt in flow? Where you have wanted to create something for yourself and suddenly it shows up? Or you ask a question and its answered in an unexpected form? As a person or as a conversation?
Quick: where's your phone? If it's within an arms-reach, you're not alone. (Maybe you're even reading this on your phone!) When this question was asked at a recent networking event I attended, the vast majority of people said their phone was always near them, even while they're sleeping!
