In the 1970’s a series of catastrophic events led to 3,891 people in the UK, mostly haemophiliacs, becoming infected with the HIV or hepatitis C viruses, or both. Decades later, the contaminated blood scandal remains relatively unknown outside the lives torn apart by it.
