Inside is where it hurts, inside is where it starts, that's what matters and that's where you need buy in. We are all on this journey as mums, the question is how much time are we willing to dedicate? Are we prepared to invest in ourselves? Can we continue to give from an empty well?
Closure. That's what this final Team SCA blog post is going to be all about. Why? Well, earlier this month we had our very last outing as a team at the Getty Images Gallery in London, where they are currently showing a very special exhibition dedicated to our time in the Volvo Ocean Race.
Apart from weight loss and toning, weight lifting has other positives; it makes you feel strong, and who doesn't want a strong body? It also does wonders for your confidence, especially as you start to see noticeable changes to your body, and girl you did that!

You can achieve a lot when all hands are on deck and our journey in the Volvo Ocean Race is proof of the full extent of girl power. However, instead of Scary, Baby, Posh and Ginger, Team SCA has Drivers, Trimmers, a Navigator and a Skipper.
To say that we're all a little bit older and a little bit wiser sounds completely contrived, but it is absolutely true - we are all very different women from those who started the race in Alicante those many months ago.
Sally grew up sailing on the lake close to her home. From there she went into youth classes to high school and colleague sailing. Eventually Sally progressed to Olympic sailing and stepped into the professional match racing circuit where she could race for a living. With a CV bursting with sailing experience, it's perhaps no surprise she is now in integral member of Team SCA.
We won! This morning we arrived in Lorient in France, which is our current stopover destination. The best thing about Lorient so far? We got there first!
It's November 2012 and I'm at the central station in Stockholm, Sweden, waiting for a train to take me to my base camp and home city Gothenburg. I've just spent the last two days at an indoor sailing boat show learning about what is up-and-coming in the market for a piece in the next issue of Search Magazine...
After a while you get used to this pattern of behaviour and you quickly learn to sleep in small chunks at a time. It's phsically and mentally challenging but vital in these final few weeks as the clock prepares to strike - marking the end of our amazing journey.
