Curb Your Brotherhood

Curb Your Brotherhood

I've discovered breath-choking similarity between a Curb Your Enthusiasm poster and the front page of an Egyptian magazine titled Voice of the Nation, printed recently in Cairo. It is depicting the de-facto ruler of the country General Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, and some replicas of himself, filling key civilian positions in Egyptian society. The magazine clearly pasted Mr. David's postures, one can see it isn't a fluke as the person on the right hand side is holding hands, while the bulk of the Sisis behind him are stretched to the left hand corner. In both images cars are driving on the right. Maybe I'm wrong and the original idea is Egyptian and HBO were the ones copying it as a backhanded insult. Who knows.

By the way there is no greater friend to the state of Egypt than yours truly. Here is a videos I made in a Cairo taxi with my colleagues Ari Libsker and Roy 'Chicky' Arad in 2007:
