University Academic Fellow in Legacies of War at the University of Leeds
Jessica Meyer is University Academic Fellow in Legacies of War at the University of Leeds where she leads the Medicine and War strand of the Legacies of War research and engagement hub. She has published extensively on the histories masculinity, disability, and popular fiction in Britain in the era of the First World War. She is currently completing a monograph on masculinity and military medical caregiving during the First World War for Oxford University Press, and leads the European Research Council-funded Men, Women and Care project, which explores gender and the provision of care to British disabled ex-servicemen by the State, charities and families after the war.
