Tamara Marshall

Writer, digital marketer, chocolate muncher and hearing loss advocate

Active and ambitious twenty-something working in digital marketing and enjoying the spoils of London life. Partial to a G&T, eating (far too much) chocolate, and using fancy words to voice my inner thoughts and feelings. Writing about my hearing loss has been a huge revelation. It's helped me discover a quiet inner confidence and acceptance in my condition that I never thought possible. It's great to have a platform to share my experiences and connect with others who understand the many challenges - but also gifts - that come with being hearing impaired. I hope you enjoy reading my blogs and please get in touch to tell me your thoughts...

Why Having A Hearing Loss Is Not All Bad

It's quite surreal, especially when I'm walking down a busy street in central London, but it's so peaceful and calming.

Please Don't Take My Hearing Loss At Face Value

<img alt="everybody banner" src="http://i.huffpost.com/gen/5399116/original.jpg" width="300" height="35" /> It's so hard for me to express this, and even though it's been nine years since I was given hearing aids, I still feel too insecure and embarrassed to admit I have a hearing loss. Plus I worry no one will understand or care, although I realise how silly I am thinking like this - no one is heartless!
